Day 3 Say Wee..........

Day 3
By Joshua

At the beginning of the day, we went to breakfast at The University of Victoria’s cafeteria and had a breakfast that was pretty good. The pancakes were so thick and fluffy it was like ten in one! After breakfast our coach driver took us to Victoria Harbor where we took a boat deep into the Pacific Ocean. When we got to our desired spot, we watched the whales (orcas to be exact) jump and dive for about forty-five minutes.

Later that day we hopped on our coach that took us to The Broughton  Street Deli for lunch. We had multiple choices of sandwiches followed by delicious sugar and peanut butter cookies.

After lunch we stopped at the Ocean Discovery Aquarium in Sidney. We saw jellyfish, a giant octopus, and felt sea anemones and starfish. It was cool to feel the different textures of the starfish. When we felt the sea anemones we learned that they were actually poisonous to fish but they are harmless to us. Instead of a hurting sensation of the sting poisonous barbs in the tentacles, it was actually a funny tickle of a sticky glue kind of thing.

Soon after we went to Craigdarroch Castle where we learned that the castle was originally used as a retirement home for the owner and his wife. The owner was the richest man in British Columbia.

After that we went back to the Broughton Street Deli. We had A LOT of spaghetti and garlic bread. The spaghetti was good, as was the garlic bread. We had the same cookies as we did at lunch plus rice crispy treats.

At the end of the day, we checked back into The University of Victoria. Bed check was at 9:30 but before we were in the lounge watching Wipeout and Expedition Impossible Morocco Edition.

Can’t wait until tomorrow. The day will be jam packed with zip lining, obstacle coerces, and fossil sightings. Until tomorrow blog readers.
